Skin Deep

I'm sure you've heard the saying, "Beauty is only skin deep". Do you know what it means?  Here's what I found;

Meaning: Physical beauty is superficial. A pleasing exterior is no guide to a person's interior or character.

Now ponder this. If your skin was let's say, your car. Would you never wash it? Would you use bleach or chlorine to wash it? Now, we're not talking about getting new rims or new headlights. If your happy with the size of your headlights more power to ya!  I'm talking about simple, needed cosmetic maintenance.  Keep your car (skin) looking new as long as possible.

With all that said, here are a few fabulous products to maintain your shine.

Lip care from Pop Beauty

-easy to apply

-goes on kind of like a lip gloss

Pros:  Removes the dry skin on your lips and makes them smooth and soft.
Cons:  The tube doesn't come with information on it's content or how to use.

Pop Beauty has a lot more things to check that I haven't got around to but your welcome to check them out at Ulta Beauty.  Would love to hear what you think about their products.

Micro-Dermabrasion from Rodan & Fields (the gals behind Proactive)

Pros:  Polishes skin with a sugar-and-salt scrub which also contains vitamins C and E.  Left my skin so smooth and soft, even on the top of my nose.
Cons:  It was a bit tricky getting it on at first, it's pretty pasty but worth the effort.

Face moisturizer from Lather

Pros:  It smells pretty good.  Left my skin very moisturized and healthy looking.
Cons:  Couldn't think of one...hmm.

Body Scrub from Lather

-First thing I noticed when I opened the jar was the smell...A-MAZ-ING.

-It may not look so fab but trust me it sure feels fab once you've washed it off.

Pros:  Left my skin once again, soft and smooth.  The smell is almost therapeutic.
Cons:  It's a bit messy but totally worth it.

Can't wait to try out all the other Lather products.

Take care of your skin Darlins, it doesn't have to cost much.  It just takes your time.

  3. Glad you liked everything! Also, one of my favorite Dorothy Parker quotes: "Beauty may be skin deep but ugly goes clean to the bone." Nothing wrong with polishing up the outside to match the beautiful interior. :)
