Colonial Ladies

Hey Darlins, so this past week was another crazy one for me, from filling orders to two of my sons field trips.  It was at one of those field trips that I truly....enjoyed myself.  I was totally taken by the fresh crisp air and lost in time with all it's historical beauty.

Ok so where was I?  Riley's Farm in Oak Glen, CA.  How beautiful/ creepy is that house?  Yes, I am the biggest chicken you'll ever know but I couldn't help admiring what it'd be like to live in a place like this.

The day was filled with little trips to different parts of this huge farm.  Every step was a step back in time, from tools and lighting to language and clothing.

Ok how comfy do her "girls" look? Yeah, a bit tight.  I really don't know how they made EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH in outfits like that!  Can you image their "outfit post"?  "Maxi cotton skirt - from my mother, Wool cape with hood - Vintage" LOL

Textiles!  Weaving wool for clothing.

Hello! Men started the thigh-high boot trend! (Ha!)

I'd die to do a photo shoot here.

Seriously....had no clue what to wear to something like this.  I really need to get me some "mommy clothes".  In other words, I look over dressed at all my son's play dates and field trips.

Totally recommending this place loves, it's not only great for families but for couples or friends.  The bakery and restaurant is just amazing.  Step out of your world Darlins and enjoy the simple life for a few hours.

xoxo!

A Show of Fashion

Hello Lovelies!

So am happy to announce that I am the proud owner of.....a new camera. Finally, I have a camera I can shoot amazing pictures with....only problem is, I really need to learn how to use it.  Never the less, I took that baby out for a spin at a fashion show last Friday.

As many of you might know, I launched my line last year at a Project Ethos event in October.  It's funny to return a year later to actually attend the event as a guest.  No running around in stilettos, like a crazy person for me that night.  Instead, I was able to take it all in and observe......for the next time.  Yes, I started to consider doing the event next season after everyone was asking me if I was doing it this season. What do you guys think?

Anyways, here are the highlights for the night.

The line and valet, was just crazy.

The line I was in for the guest list, wasn't as bad as expected.  Although Hollywood was freezing that night.

Pink carpet was cute. Hoping to find some of those pics of me on it. $1 of every Pink Carpet ticket was donated to Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) and the event raised awareness for SU2C.

After all my years visiting the sunset strip, this was my first time in the House Of Blues.  It was a bit small but pretty amazing.

This was my favorite art work from the art they were showing.

So you know I have a thing for lighting, these were a bit creepy but pretty cool.

So finally I was ready to test out my new camera from my balcony seats.

The highlight of the night was truly the Black Cards, featuring Fall Out Boy’s former bassist / front man Pete Wentz.  Vocalist Bebe Rexha, was quite the performer.

After the Black Cards the runway was prepped for it's first collection, I Am. A new line by Black Eyed Peas front man Will.I.Am.

AND no, Will.I.Am didn't not come out after his line like most designers.  Don't think he was even there.

And so, the night went on with the rest of the collections.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay to see the last collection but all in all, cheers to my fellow designers.  May you keep on chugging till you reach the top of those clothing rack mountains.

Last but not least.....I wore, again the  Layer Me Dress from my fall collection only in the leopard print.  My new Velvet Bow Belt  and the At The Opera earrings in black.

Good times.

Pre-LAFW Party

This past Tuesday was quite a crazy day for me.  I drove two hours into Beverly Hills to cover an event in which was a last minute thing and decided to make myself a last minute dress for the event.  I really just wanted to wear one those new belts in my collection. And let me tell ya, I had so much fun wearing this silk georgette dress on a breezing day.  It just flowed so beautifully.

(Decided to have a little fun with the outtakes)
Anyways after this event, I went home to change and drove back out to Los Angles for the Two Point Oh LA Pre-LAFW Party, in which I am a member of.  The event was held at Cement Studios on the 11th floor.  When I realized it was on that floor, I literally had to talk myself into continuing with the night. (Yes, I'm afraid of heights) Man, was that elevator rickety.  When I finally arrived to the party after a dreaded 2mins in that elevator I was greeted by an atmosphere of chic vibes in a cement floor loft with floor to ceiling windows.

The view of Los Angeles was quite beautiful.
Here's the rest of the highlights from the night.

The biggest surprise of the night was when the lovely ladies of Sole Society asked if I had picked a shoe from their table.

Yes! They were gifting SHOES! I was really waiting for her to tell me it was a joke.

So I choose these lovely flats named, Chanel.  It was a tough choice, unlike some celeb shoe clubs, this place actually has some really cute shoes. Checking them out is a must and I'm not just saying that because I got free shoes.  For the record, I wouldn't take ugly shoes even if they were free.

These Nibniobs were also great. Would love to have these at my next event. Love the colors too.

There was also a handbag store selling handbags and a style site, Daily Buzz Style

I was wearing the Layer Me Dress in beige/black burnout from my fall collection.  I was also wearing the new Gifted Belt and the At The Opera earrings in cream.

And my lovely date for the night was, Aimee from According To Aimee.

It was all in all a great night, totally worth all the hustle I did that day.  Met a few new friends and friends I've never had a chance to meet in person.  Huge round of applause goes out to our fearless Two Point Oh LA leader, Kelsi Smith from Dedicated Follower of Fashion

Much more to come from my world this week Darlins, so stay posted!

xoxo!

L.A. Emerged

It was truly a fabulous night. From the live music and amazing art to the Indy fashion.  L.A. really emerged to celebrate...ART.

You know I have a thing for lighting and deco.  Totally fall in love with this pendent birdcage ceiling light.

The event was sponsored by a few products, Pop Chips being one of my favorites.

There were a few great performers Friday night, one of my favorites was Buffalo Electric.

Love how this picture came out.

Alysse Fischer was also amazing. I couldn't help to admire her shoes and her style.

Ready for this.....

Ta-da!!! How awesome is this piece of art?!  That's a real candle burning in her 3D hands.

Wish'en I would have asked artist Meirav Haber more questions about her fabulous art.

Fashion at it's best!  Ok, this piece is of course from my line but it sure got some rave reviews.  Look for this top and other new pieces coming to the Fall collection all month.

Totally fall in love with this red staircase, that I just had to shoot the face of my line Melina Perez on it during down time.

Recognize this lovely sense of style?  It's blogger Melissa from The Key To Chic & Fashion Trend Guide.  How cute is her dress?!  It was truly lovely to meet her, such a sweet gal.

Another sweet gal was Myly from Vintage Grime .

Big thank you to Chris Blackwell from We Wit It L.A. for letting me be apart of this event.  Now, how awesome out their outfits?! Thanks to Vintage Manifesto, these boys were styling.

Busy month ahead from me, so if you don't hear from me, don't write me off Darlins. Just keep me in your prayers and know I'll be back with tons to share!

xoxoxo!
